I signed up for the Sculpt class with Alissa and had a wonderful time. I’m new to pilates and had taken 3 classes at another studio before trying this studio out (two level 1 and one level 1.5). I arrived 5 minutes early to ensure I had time to get any needed equipment and to briefly chat with the instructor to let her know that it was my first time taking the class. She was really kind and told me that she shares modifications throughout the class time and would give me any needed feedback. The class was the perfect blend of fun and challenge! I could feel the heat and knew that I was building strength, which was my goal! I was honestly a little surprised because I strength train 3x a week, but I guess that’s the beauty of pilates. No matter where you are on your fitness journey, it meets you where you are and you will always find opportunities to push. Thanks for the amazing class Alissa!

I went to a Beginners 101 class today with the instructor Steve. I’ve never done Pilates before, so I was completely new to the movements and equipment. The girl at the front was really nice and made me feel welcome when I walked in. I do want to say I’m not someone who gets overly sensitive, especially when it comes to working out. I take constructive criticism well, especially when I’m learning something new. That said, the actual class wasn’t a great experience for me. I’m a very visual learner, so I need to see movements to understand them. I was looking around to follow along, and the instructor told me to stop looking around and just listen to what he was saying. That made it really hard for me to keep up and left me feeling uncomfortable and out of place. About halfway through, he did start giving more visual guidance, which helped, but by that point I already felt pretty discouraged. I understand every instructor has a different teaching style, but for a beginner class, more visual demonstration from the start would have made a big difference. This might be a better fit for people who already have experience, but as someone new, it just wasn’t the best experience for me. I’m still giving three stars because this was just one instructor and I can’t speak for the others, but I personally didn’t have the best experience as a beginner.

Honestly all the good classes are never on the schedule and when they are they are always full. It’s a good studio but doesn’t matter if you can’t get a class so now looking into different studios
