Vegas HQ is an independent local guide for the people who live in the Las Vegas Valley. We cover Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Henderson, Boulder City, Paradise, Spring Valley, Enterprise, Sunrise Manor, Winchester, Whitney, Summerlin, Centennial Hills, Aliante, Anthem, Green Valley, Southern Highlands, Mountains Edge, and Blue Diamond.
It is published by TJ Larkin. It is not owned by a chain or a venture fund, and it is written for the two million people who live here, not the forty million who visit.
What you will find here
A directory of local businesses across the valley, free to be listed in. A jobs board that collects openings from the valley's large employers. An events calendar built from official city, library, and venue calendars. And local news, starting with the public business of our city councils and the county commission, and the new businesses showing up in permit filings.
How our reporting works
Our news starts from public records: agendas, meeting recordings, minutes, and permit filings. Software helps us read those records and write a first draft, and every story links to the records it came from. A person reads and edits every story before it is published, and nothing publishes on its own. When a story was written with AI help, we say so.
We name our sources and we correct our mistakes where you can see them. If you find an error, tell us and we will fix it.
How the directory works
Any local business can be listed at no cost. Owners can claim their listing to keep it accurate, and Pro is an optional paid upgrade for a richer profile and lead capture. Paying never changes what we report.
How to help
If you run a business in the valley, claim your listing. If you know about an event, a job, or something we should cover, send it to us. We read everything that comes in.
