Job Description The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Assistant Professor, Anthropology, Medical Anthropology [R0153387] ROLE of the POSITION The Department of Anthropology at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, seeks a tenure track Assistant Professor in Medical Anthropology with a focus on health and well-being broadly defined, and an active research program grounded in ethnographic fieldwork.

- Finally, the successful candidate is expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in cultural, biocultural, and medical anthropology, and will be responsible for developing an upper-division course in the anthropology of health and well-being.

What you'll bring
- This position requires a Ph.
- in Cultural Anthropology or a related field from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and must be prepared to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses.

- Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date.
- Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Preference will be given to candidates with a record of sustained ethnographic fieldwork, a strong publication record, and a history of successfully securing external funding, commensurate with their professional stage.
