What you'll do

  • include, but are not limited to: Function as the sole assistant to the supervisor in the area of facility management by participating in project planning; reviewing work completed by contractors for compliance with plans and specifications; developing maintenance policies and procedures for the facility; providing information regarding facility needs and estimated costs for inclusion in the facility budget; and may supervise lower level staff by providing training, assigning and reviewing work, and evaluating performance.
  • Successfully complete work orders, projects, or verbal assignments (measured by lack of call backs or repeat work orders and/or supervisor inspection or supervisor review) with an 85% or better success rate in two or more of the following: plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, equipment mechanical and notifying your Supervisor or Lead when you need assistance or are unqualified to complete the task 100% of the time.
  • Ensure familiarity with proper equipment operating procedures and safety precautions.
  • Report damaged or missing equipment to supervisor immediately.
  • Lockout/tag out as needed.
  • Travel not only between campuses and satellites, but also to vendors as required.
