Job Description Nevada State University invites applications for the position of Intern - Dean's Office Assistant for the School of Education.

What you'll do
- Event Planning and Coordination Assist with the planning, logistics, and on-site execution of the annual School of Education Summit and the School of Education Gala, including venue setup, vendor coordination, registration, and day-of support.
- Support additional School of Education events engaging students, faculty, alumni, and community partners, including recruitment events, guest speaker series, and impromptu or short-notice programming.
- Help develop event timelines, checklists, and post-event summaries to support continuous improvement of future events.
- Coordinate with campus departments (facilities, catering, marketing, audiovisual services) as needed to support event needs.
- Social Media and Communications Assist in maintaining and updating the School of Education's social media pages with accurate, timely, and engaging content.
- Help draft, schedule, and post content that highlights student and faculty achievements, program updates, and upcoming events.
- Monitor audience engagement and assist in identifying opportunities to grow reach and interaction, in coordination with the Dean's Office and university marketing guidelines.
- Support the creation of basic graphics, flyers, or promotional materials for events and initiatives.
- Data Support and Enrollment Analytics Assist administrative staff in compiling, organizing, and updating enrollment and program data using university systems and standard spreadsheet tools.
- Support the preparation of basic reports, summaries, or visualizations used to inform program planning and decision making.
- Help maintain accurate records related to enrollment trends and other metrics identified by the Dean's Office.
- Handle all student and enrollment data in strict accordance with FERPA and university data confidentiality policies.
What you'll bring
- Must be in good academic standing and maintain a GPA of 2.
- Must be enrolled as a degree seeking student with a minimum of 6 credits in the current or upcoming semester at Nevada State.
