  • The Director ensures effective delivery of programs and services that support the employee lifecycle while maintaining compliance with applicable federal, state, NSHE, and university policies.
  • This position establishes operational standards, monitors service levels, drives continuous process improvement, and provides leadership and guidance on the most complex and sensitive matters within the assigned areas of responsibility.
  • The position also provides leadership for leave and absence management programs, including FMLA, sick and annual leave, catastrophic leave, leave audits, and ADA workplace accommodation processes.
  • In addition, the Director oversees temporary employment processes and HCM transaction support, including non-recruited appointments, letters of appointment, temporary hourly employees, student employees, and Workday transaction triage.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Eight (8) years of progressively responsible human resources experience, including at least five (5) years overseeing benefits, leave administration, HR operations, or related functional areas, and three (3) years in a supervisory or management role.
  • In lieu of a bachelor's degree, applicants may qualify with an associate's degree and two (2) additional years of relevant experience, or four (4) additional years of relevant experience in place of the degree.
