Adjunct - Physician Assistant Studies
About the role
The Physician Assistant Studies Adjunct Faculty, under the supervision of the Program Director, is responsible for teaching and evaluation of the program's academic and clinical components. Working in close association with the Didactic and Clinical Faculty, the Physician Assistant Studies Adjunct Faculty member is paid per course or lecture assigned to you. This is a non-exempt position.
What you'll do
- Provide student instruction in assigned courses
- Develop and evaluate student performance in both the didactic and clinical phase
- Some teaching assignments may exist in a courses where the faculty member is not a primary instructor (e.g. labs, OSCEs, clinical year curriculum)
- Participate in all aspects of the self-study process.
- Counsel and advise students.
- Participate in faculty directed activities integral to the university system.
- May participate in community outreach.
What you'll bring
- Education
- Masters prepared PA-C or MD/DO
- Current PA national certification and eligibility for licensure in NV
- Current MD/DO board certification and eligibility for licensure in NV Experience :
- Three years of clinical experience and previous education experience preferred Skills & Abilities
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including grammar and formal speech
- Established leadership and supervisory skills
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Flexible, resilient, and uplifting demeanor
- Excellent organizational skills
