My kids and I are in no way serious rock climbers, but they love climbing at Red Rock Climbing Center. Even though the gym is designed for the serious climber, with some very challenging routes, it is still amazing for younger kids and teenagers.
They offer:
- Autobelay ropes from the ceiling that automatically take in the slack as my kids climb.
- Top ropes that give access to more challenging routes.
- Lead climbing routes that are the most challenging.
- and some lower strength building and technical/skills lower climbing walls at all angles. (Even almost completely inverted)
Harness and shoe rentals are available. They also offer classes.
Two things- my grandson loved it! The front desk person was so helpful and kind! The downside is that it is really filthy because of the dust from the chalk but they need to make sure the front desk is clean!
What a great climbing gym. And the staff is so nice and helpful.
Ian was an incredible guide at Red Rocks today. He knows the park really well and despite it being a hot day was able to move around to great climbing routes that were in shaded areas. Highly recommend booking a full day with him and am looking forward to coming back in the future to hit a multi pitch route with him.
As a family man this place is a no brainer! The kids love coming and I love watching their confidence grow… Such a family friendly & beginner friendly place. I really can’t recommend it enough

A small gym. The staff/owners don’t care enough to fix the rust, holes in the wall or mold growing in the bathrooms.
The roof climbing is a fun addition, but not enough to make up for the obvious mismanagement.
