Martha is a very friendly and excellent waitress. She helped us make food choices that since it was our first time made it very easy to order and we loved it. Food was so good will be back.

After a rather disappointing and overpriced experience at a locally owned Mexican restaurant thay shall remain nameless yesterday, I found myself craving a *satisfying* Mexican meal. Chavelo's Mexican Grill on Sunset in Henderson was certainly a satisfying experience. My server, Raul was very welcoming and friendly. The complimentary chips came not only with salsa, but a bean dip to die for. I opted for the Chicken Machaca Plate for $21, which is actually a bit on the steep side for someone like me who is currently unemployed, but the adage of "you get what you pay for" couldn't apply more. The meal came with rice, beans and sides of lime and tortillas (i opted for corn rortillas over flour). I cannot write how much I enjoyed this meal and do the chef who cooked it justice. It must be experienced. I only write reviews of places that I like and intended to return to. Chavelo's certainly makes that cut. 🚬🚬🚬🚬🚬 of 5

The food was delicious! The portions are so generous that we were only able to eat a third of it and took the rest home!The service was excellent! We will definitely be back to support this family owned restaurant. Raul was an amazing server!
