Flamingo Film Noir Club
The Flamingo Film Noir Club was inspired by Eddie Muller's Noir Alley on TCM (Turner Classic Movies) Saturday nights. And just like Noir Alley , your host will first Introduce the film noir selection by first providing interesting facts about the film, the film will then be screened, and afterwards we will discuss the film. We will also highlight some Neo-Noir films here-and-there. Neo-Noir: in short, film noir in the modern era. Same cynical antiheroes, moral quicksand, shadowy conspiracies, and fatalistic vibes-but in color! Typically more nihilistic, more explicit sex/violence, nonlinear storytelling, and a contemporary or futuristic twist.
*We always screen films with closed captioning. However, there are some films we show that due to their age and limited notoriety that closed captioning is not available.
