I was looking for a solid Bible teaching/preaching (expository) church in Las Vegas and when I visited Summerlin Community Church and sat through that first service, I knew I had found a special place. Pastor Dave and his wife Gayle genuinely & deeply love the Lord and care about His people. I've been to many churches in my life but SCC truly walks the talk of caring, loving and nurturing people into God's Kingdom. The friends I've made are prayer warriors who encourage, uplift and are there for you whenever you need prayer. I consider this church my new family (as I have none) and feel so blessed that God led me here. I know you will too! God bless!
We were stopping through Las Vegas as a family. Wow... Can this Church rock the hospitality! Also, amazing teachers for the children and lovely outdoor grounds. We found plenty of thought provoking perspectives in the sermon, and the live stream was so easy to use... Appreciated the coordinated worship. That was really a blessing to us too. I’ve been attending Summerlin Church for about 5 months now and it’s truly been a blessing. This was my 5th or 6th church I had visited when I first moved to Vegas. I was initially drawn - and stayed - because Pastor Dave preaches from the Bible, verse by verse. This makes every week biblical, theologically rich with scriptural references and always points us back to Christ.
The community here is warm and welcoming. The pastor himself greeted me personally on Day 1 and we went out for coffee a few weeks after that. You don’t have to be a stranger here.
There are opportunities to be involved here too. We have prayer nights on Tuesday, Bible studies before church service, and ministries for every age.
This church has helped me learn how to glorify God and put Christ at the center of my life.
I was warmly welcomed. No displayed evidence of racism. Members were comfortable dressed. No passing around of any containers to collect offering. This eradicates the experienced embarrassment for anyone who may not have. Instead they have various methods by which you can provide your offering which limits the opportunity for others to be aware of others who don’t have it to give that day. The service starts and ends on time. My first time and I love the place, the people and the service!!!!
We are so glad we found Summerlin Church. After just a couple visits we knew this is where our family belonged. Such a warm and welcoming community with biblical sermons that have applicability to how we live today. I’m so thankful for this Church family.
