Good people work here and belly up to the bar here. Good old rock music. Affordable. My neighborhood bar-restaurant with bar machines, though I don't gamble. There aren't many places left like this where you can just sit and eat and drink and hear classics and chichat with bartenders and customers—without being annoyed by bad music or idiots haha. Also, not a chain. Not that chains are all bad. But this is a real privately owned home-y place.

I stopped by on a Monday evening on my way to work. I've driven by many times and decided to give this place a try. When you first walk in, you have a choice of entering the bar area on the left or the dining area on the right. Both areas have their own door. There is no smoking in the dining room. I entered the dining room and I was told I could sit wherever I wanted. It wasn't too busy. My waitress was quick to bring me a menu and take my drink order which was iced tea. Pepsi products only here which explains my iced tea choice. The menu is quite large with many choices. Mondays daily special was chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and green beans for $16. My waitress took my appetizer order first which was the southwest egg rolls. She came back with the egg rolls and asked if I was ready for my entree order. It was a really hard decision because there were many good options. She told me their burgers were flame broiled rather than on a griddle which sounded really appealing to me but I decided on the chicken fried steak special. I also ordered the Edge Lovers pizza to go, which has pepperoni, ham, sausage and bacon. I love leftover pizza. The egg rolls were delicious. Lightly fried and stuffed with chicken, cheese, beans and corn. It's served with an avocado ranch dipping sauce. Chicken fried steak is one of my favorite meals. This offering did not disappoint. I wished they would make it a regular offering instead of once a week as a special. The breading was crisp, the steak was tender and flavorful. It was topped with a generous amount of country gravy. The mashed potatoes were good and creamy. I'm not a fan of green beans so I can't give an honest opinion on those since I didn't eat them. I did have a slice of pizza hours later. Their pizza was very good. Nice crisp crust, generous toppings and it was reasonably priced. I'll definitely order it again. This place is a hidden gem. It's clean and the service is excellent. I will definitely be back.

I have been having dinner at Edge of Town for several years. It’s a bar with a fairly large dining room. There are three large screen TVs in the dining room area, usually with sports playing on them. The food is excellent.I often get the meatloaf, which is a good portion and always excellent. The rigatoni bolognese is also quite good. It’s comfort food at a good price. The service is fast and they now have handhelds they bring to your table so you can tap your phone or credit card to pay. That’s a big convenience. It can get noisy when it’s crowded but it’s not a major issue to me.
